2025 Mission Trips
Chapel Pointe is on mission and we are inviting you to join us!
From Boston to Brazil to Romania, we are sending teams to share the Gospel throughout the world. We want to deepen relationships with current Chapel Pointe missionaries and partners, engage with God’s presence in a different cultural setting, and participate in events to make disciples and multiply transformed followers of Jesus.

Current Mission Trips
REGISTRATION OPEN | Boston Big Move Trip | August 30-September 2, 2025
- When: August 30 – September 2, 2025
- Where: Boston
- Team Leader: Pastor Andrew Honeycutt & Michael Spagnuolo
- Cost: $750
- Trip Focus: Partnering with King’s Hill Church in central Boston to engage people in gospel conversations through serving the community. Each year on September 1st, the majority of apartment/housing leases end and begin. Teams will be helping the Boston community move out of and into apartments. Through this, there is opportunity to engage in relational connections that lead to prayer, gospel conversations, and invitations to King’s Hill Church.

REGISTRATION OPEN | The Philippines | October 24 - November 7, 2025
- When: October 24-November 7, 2025
- Where: The Philippines
- Team Leader: Nathan Potter
- Cost: $2,500
- Trip Focus: This is an exciting two-fold trip! The team will do ministry in the remote Aurora Province where the Potters are serving, including discipleship with believers and prayer with pastors and leaders. We will also serve our partner seminary in the capital city of Manila, Baptist Bible Seminary. This is a highly relationship-driven trip with spiritual depth as we pour into the ministry of Be The Church Philippines through kingdom expansion.

REGISTRATION OPEN | Kampala, Uganda | October 30 - November 9, 2025

- Where: Kampala, Uganda
- Team Size: 12 People
- Team Leader: Pastor Steve Harrington
- Cost: $3,000 (best estimate before purchasing airline tickets)
- Trip Focus: Working with Ben and Kari David at Hope Speaks serving the children and families they work with, as well as assisting with evangelism and discipleship as they plant a new church in the region.

Trip Focus: Partnering with ABWE and Live Global to work alongside a local church to provide medical care to Haitian refugees in order to engage them relationally with the gospel.

- Trip Focus: Helping with campus housing building/renewal projects; working with residents and resident parents; evangelism, discipleship, building (painting, electrical, plumbing, trim)

Dominican Republic | March 21-29, 2025

- Trip Focus: Partnering with local churches to engage relationally in gospel conversations with Haitian refugees through providing medical care and community health education.

Ecuador | Spring Break 2025

- Where: Riobamba, Ecuador
- Team Leader: TBD

- Trip Focus: Working with missionaries Dave and Cyndi Jenkins to assist with church planting efforts, evangelism, discipleship, ministry to school kids and families.

Detroit Students Trip | June 9-13, 2025
- When: June 9-13, 2025
- Where: Detroit
- Team Leader: Ryan Huizinga
- Cost: $250 (best estimate)
- Trip Focus: Working with LifeBuilders in Regent Park on neighborhood revitalization, gospel sharing with community members, and hosting a neighborhood event in the park to interact with kids.

Brazil Trip with The River Church | June 17-28, 2025
- When: June 17-28, 2025
- Where: São Paulo, Brazil
- Team Leader: Pastor George Lim
- Cost: $2,000-$2,500 (best estimate)
- Trip Focus: Working with missionaries Dave and Jan Santos in local schools, churches, and gatherings; evangelism, discipleship, and church planting.
This trip is in partnership with our Family of Churches and led by Pastor George Lim of The River Church.

Thailand | June 24 - July 6, 2025
- When: June 24 – July 6, 2025
- Where: Udon Thani, Thailand
- Team Leader: Eric Palmer
- Cost: $3,000 (best estimate)
- Trip Focus: Partnering with Campus Outreach to participate in building relationships and engaging university students with the love and truth of Jesus, as well as serving alongside the local church with outreach opportunities. Encourage new Thai believers and be an example of a Christian community that is excited about the gospel.

England Student Trip | July 4-12, 2025
- When: July 4-12, 2025
- Where: England
- Team Leader: Drew Vos, Carolyn Norkus
- Cost: $2,500 (best estimate)
- Trip Focus: Working with UKUSA to help minister to the youth in England through evangelism, discipleship, working in schools, and helping to run a sports outreach camp. This trip is for students.

Romania/Bulgaria | July 10-21, 2025
- When: July 10–July 21, 2025
- Where: Bucharest, Romania & Bulgaria
- Team Leaders: TBD
- Cost: $2,500
- Trip Focus: Join a team from our partner church in Bucharest, Romania, to participate in a joint mission trip to Bulgaria. This trip will include a diverse range of ministry opportunities, including evangelism, discipleship, kids ministry, and sports ministry.

Kosovo | July 24-August 3, 2025
- When: July 24-August 3, 2025
- Where: Pristina/Mitrovica, Kosovo
- Team Leaders: Chris Mack and Mike Warren
- Cost: $2,500
- Trip Focus: Partnering with ABWE missionaries and a local school to engage kids and adults through a basketball camp, science camp, and teacher professional development; sports, education, evangelism and discipleship.

Nancy Berends | Serving in Togo, West Africa
Serving primarily in Togo, West Africa, based in West Michigan
Nancy serves as the Director of International Healthcare Ministries (IHM) for ABWE. IHM personnel care for the ABWE missionary family and provide support to the various healthcare entities around the globe.
The Caudill Family | Based in Pennsylvania
The Caudill Family | Director of Live Global, based in Pennsylvania

This summer is filled with ministry activities—trainings, orientations, and events that will continue to equip our growing team. Pray for fruitfulness and endurance!

We’re leading Live Global through significant structural changes. Pray for wisdom as we work to position our team for ongoing kingdom multiplication.

Our kids are growing up, and we’ve been loving this season. Pray that they come to know and love Jesus deeply.

God has opened several local gospel opportunities for both Andrew and Taylor to share Jesus with unbelieving neighbors and refugees.

It’s been a sweet season of parenting our four kids—Elijah (7), Isaiah (5), and twins Joanna & Josiah (3).

Pray for the people we serve and share the gospel with—that the Lord would touch their hearts and lead them to accept Jesus Christ.

Pray for car repairs and insurance. There is a significant need for a vehicle for the ministry, requiring about $600.

Pray for my wife’s ongoing dental needs. She has received some therapy but still needs treatment for three teeth, which will cost approximately $800.
The Jenkins Family | Serving in Ecuador
David & Cindy
Serving in Riobamba, Ecuador
David and Cindy are church planters with an emphasis on home Bible studies serving in Ecuador. Their method is to evangelize, disciple, and then train local church leaders in order to accomplish the goal of establishing autonomous local churches.

Land Agreements in Emegari
Pray that the land agreements in Emegari are finalized soon so our team can begin moving into the new location. -
Encouragement and Wisdom
Pray for renewed strength, encouragement, and wisdom for our team as we continue to face delays and challenges. It’s clear that the enemy is working to discourage, but we trust God’s greater purposes. -
Transition and Travel
As we prepare to leave Papua New Guinea on July 5th, please pray that we finish well. We’re balancing packing, progress in Emegari, and covering the role of center manager due to a personnel shortage this summer. It’s a full season, but God has been faithful, and furlough is in sight.

All details for our return to the U.S. are in place! We’re tired but excited to reconnect with friends and family. -

Our recent trip into the bush included productive and positive conversations with the elders in Emegari regarding the land. -
God at Work in the Delays
Even though delays continue to arise, we clearly see God’s hand at work, preparing the way for His plans in Emegari.

Praises:
- The pizza night we hosted for area pastors and wives was a success!
- We’ve had encouraging meetings with a few local colleagues.
- God provided a special gift to make our June VBS extra special for the kids!
- The missionary working on her permanent visa finally saw a little movement in the process after a long day at the federal police. It’s slow and frustrating, but we’re thankful for progress!

For Dave’s speaking engagements at an outdoor teen gathering and a couples’ banquet (both happening the next two weekends).

For final prep as we host a missions team of 22 arriving June 16 — VBS starts the very next day (June 17)!

Praises:
- Darin and Joy just celebrated 25 years of marriage!

Over 300 churches are now using our Stir materials to run evangelism groups!

This past month, we had the opportunity to train dozens more church leaders in sharing the gospel.

In our local church’s youth ministry, we’re seeing exciting growth—our youth are starting to pray for one another, worship out loud, and speak encouragement into each other’s lives.
Prayer Requests:
- God’s direction for Kiera’s university path. She’s in the middle of final exams that will determine where she goes. Her top choice is Loughborough (good luck pronouncing it!).
- Sweet family time with Ella home for the summer.
- Wisdom and peace as we step back from our youth ministry role to help launch missions through our local church.
