COVID-19 Update

We want to first say thank you for joining with us in prayer as we, along with the rest of our region and world, follow the emerging situation with COVID-19. As details and guidance continue to develop, rest assured that we are listening, discussing, and most importantly, praying as we make decisions on how we can best serve our community as the church.

Following Governor Whitmer’s address to the State of Michigan regarding how COVID-19 spreads, the cancellation of all K-12 schools through April 5, and the new directive to organizations to restrict large in-person gatherings, we see it necessary to make changes to Sunday worship services and other events on campus.

The Elder Board and Leadership Team have decided that, in the best interest of the health and well-being of our community, we will be suspending all face-to-face gatherings on campus until further notice—including Sunday worship services. We are thankful for the opportunity to provide weekend services online, and will be live streaming at 9am and 11am this Sunday morning.

Join us LIVE online Sunday at 9am and 11am:

As Transformed Followers of Jesus, we know that spiritual transformation is a continual process—our hope, peace, and firm foundation rest securely in His name, even in times of crisis or difficulty. As transformed followers Passionately Responding to God, we also know that God receives our worship, whether it’s in a worship center or online!

Pastor Joel’s video on March 12 reaffirms that we don’t make this decision lightly and are not making decisions out of fear. Our joy continues in knowing we have a unique opportunity to BE THE CHURCH right now for so many people with the message of hope that’s found in Jesus.

We are called to BE THE CHURCH. Whether we are gathered in one location, in our homes, or scattered around the world, this is the time to declare in unity that we will not be shaken! In this time of fear and uncertainty, we are proactively linking arm-in-arm with other churches to collectively flood our neighborhoods and communities with resources, tools to equip and engage families and kids, and messages of hope and light.

You’ll be seeing more communication in the coming days and week on how you can be a part of this movement to be the hands and feet of Jesus right now—so be sure to follow us on Facebook to stay up to date!

We’re here for you, your families, and all of our first responders and medical professionals, and look forward to worshipping with you online this Sunday!

In Christ,

— CP Elders & Leadership Team
