GO ON MISSION

2025-2026 Mission Trips

Chapel Pointe is on mission and we are inviting you to join us!

From Boston to Brazil to Romania, we are sending teams to share the Gospel throughout the world. We want to deepen relationships with current Chapel Pointe missionaries and partners, engage with God’s presence in a different cultural setting, and participate in events to make disciples and multiply transformed followers of Jesus.

Check out the trips listed below for details and links to sign up.

Pray for Our Missionary Partners

Nancy Berends | Serving in Togo, West Africa

Nancy Berends | Serving primarily in Togo, West Africa, based in West Michigan

Praises

  • I’m thankful to have the opportunity to minister to and disciple people at home even when I’m not traveling! It’s great to watch people grow in their walk with God.

Prayer requests

  • Two of our hospitals could desperately use more short-term help! Northern Togo (HoH) and Bangladesh both need providers. Ask God to send laborers for His harvest fields.

  • One of my cochlear implants (right side, newer) is failing. (It’s still under warranty and apparently I’m not the first “fail.”) I’ll see my surgeon at the end of August to determine how urgent the replacement timeline is (or isn’t). Pray for wisdom in scheduling and for insurance to be relatively easy to navigate.

  • Rachel, one of ABWE’s nurses in transition, will travel with me to Togo in September. I’m so thankful for her willingness to do this. Pray for a safe, uneventful trip!

  • I’m so thankful for the global connections God has given us for ministry, including within CP.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for capacity, focus, and the right priorities during multiple upcoming travel events, that I would be faithful with what God has given me.

  • Pray for wisdom and grace as we shepherd our kids’ hearts, especially our twin three-year-olds, in this sweet season of parenting.

  • Pray for Taylor and me as we prepare to minister to local college students through a weekly evening dinner. Ask that God would guide and bless the start of this ministry.

Saeed and Saida | Serving in Central Asia

Saeed and Saida | Northern Caucasus of Central Asia.

Praises

  • During sports training sessions with children who are non-believers, I taught them to pray and share the Word of God. Recently, three of them faced a need, remembered how I taught them to pray, and after they prayed, the issue was resolved.

  • I thank God for the opportunity to share the gospel with non-believers every day. Many ask questions and listen attentively.

  • I thank God that through social ministry I have met new people.

Prayer Requests

  • Please pray that our ministry will bear fruit as I share the gospel with many and help through social ministry. May the Lord touch their hearts and lead them to accept Jesus Christ.

  • Pray for wisdom and guidance as we have started an online workshop to translate the New Testament, that we may translate His Word faithfully and correctly.

  • Please pray for financial needs: my wife requires dental treatment, and I need a new phone, as my current one is very old and has screen issues.

The Sanford Family | Serving in Papua New Guinea

The Sanford Family | Serving in Papua New Guinea

Praises

  • We now have land agreements signed and a place to build our house in the village.

  • We just returned to MI after a trip to PA where we reconnected with family we hadn’t seen in almost 5 years and updated a supporting church—it was an awesome time of encouragement.

  • We met with a team of men who plan to return to PNG with Ricky in February to help build our house in the village. We’re excited for their partnership in this daunting task.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for upcoming church visits—three already scheduled in September—for preaching, updates, and missions committee meetings. Ask that God would use us to encourage the Body of Christ, and that we would trust Him to meet our needs as we work toward 100% monthly support and raise funds for our house build.

  • Pray as we begin scheduling helicopter shuttles and sourcing the last of our materials for house building. Ask that all logistics come together smoothly so we’re ready to build when Ricky and the team arrive in PNG.

  • Pray for our teammates already in PNG who have begun the house building process. They are facing many stressors at the start of one of the toughest seasons in this type of ministry. Ask God to give them unity, wisdom, and endurance as we all work toward moving into the village.

The Santos Family | Serving in Brazil

Dave & Jan Santos | Serving in São Paulo, Brazil

Praises

  • Our meetings—whether at churches, with individuals, couples, or families—have been amazing! Everyone has been so encouraging, which reenergizes us and reminds us how essential each role is in God’s work: the givers, the pray-ers, and the goers.

  • God protected us through over 6,500 miles of travel and 2 flights in just 7 weeks.

  • Castro Alves church was packed for Brazilian Father’s Day on August 11.

  • We were able to celebrate our grandson Charlie’s 2nd birthday! This was especially meaningful since he was a premie in the 2nd percentile at birth and is now in the 73rd percentile.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for Caitlyn in her last 8 weeks of pregnancy (due October 9).

  • Pray for the special conference at Castro Alves on August 30–31 as they celebrate 21 years.

  • Pray for our son-in-law Nathan as he continues seeking the job God has for him.
