At Chapel Pointe, we enthusiastically engage in Kingdom expansion. This involves partnering with organizations in our Hudsonville community to care for, serve, and make an impact for the gospel in West Michigan. In this article, we explore some of the ways we are engaging locally with our ministry partners.

Love Your Neighbor

Love Your Neighbor functions as a bridge to the community, offering community support services to under-resourced families through partnerships with churches, businesses, schools, and local government. Their main relational ministry, the Life Skills Program, helps local families grow their capacity to thrive financially, relationally and spiritually.

In partnership with Love Your Neighbor, Chapel Pointe is able to better walk with local families, often from our partner schools, as they grow through the life skills program and benefit from their resources while building relationships within the church. Through our Sharing Christmas initiative at Chapel Pointe, we connected with a local family, and after hearing their story, we connected them with Love Your Neighbor for their life skills class. This partnership provided tremendous growth for this family in budgeting and life skills, all while they grew in their faith and even got baptized!

Hand2Hand

Hand2Hand provides food for kids facing weekend hunger in West Michigan. Hand2Hand’s model is to pair a local school with a local church to help feed and pray for students each weekend during the school year. We love partnering with Hand2Hand as it opens the door for us to connect and serve the staff and students of our local schools in the Hudsonville area.

Kids Hope

Through a Kids Hope USA mentoring program, students develop transformative relationships with a caring and consistent adult mentor from a local church, empowering them to thrive. Through intentional training and support, churches mobilize volunteer mentors in schools to meet with students once a week and develop a one-on-one mentoring relationship. And those relationships matter.

We love partnering with Kids Hope to build relationships with students and staff in our partner schools. One of our partner schools reached out asking us to walk with a family going through a health and financial struggle. This mom invited us to her home and shared more of her story. Our team was able to step into some financial needs while she was able to join a Bible study at Chapel Pointe where she began to build relationships with other godly woman who could encourage and journey with her!
